The Zig Zag Tote bag is handmade in Guatemala with cotton fabrics that are woven using the traditional Mayan technique of the back-strap loom. The colors of the pillowcase are made from locally grown natural plants and minerals- for instance, gray is from ash, red is from cochineal insects, green is from leaves, yellow from tree bark, and blue is from recycled denim jean threads. The white threads are from natural cotton. Local suede leather is used for the bottom base and leather for the straps of the bag. The Tote bag features a cotton lining, an inside zip pocket, and large outer zip closure (Ykk zippers).
