Yabal’s Apron is completely handwoven using the Mayan backstrap loom by cooperatives of indigenous women weavers in the highlands of Guatemala. The colors of the apron are artisanally dyed from local plants and minerals- for instance, the lilac color comes from elderberry, rose/red is from cochineal insects, green is from leaves, yellow from tree bark, and blue is from recycled denim jean threads. Machine washable, air dry, color-fast.
