Maya Cross-Body Purse, Brick Red

The Maya Cross Body purse features Mayan brocade designs traditional to the communities of Santa Catarina Ixtahuacan in the Western highlands of Guatemala. While all purses feature geometric abstract designs, each brocade design is slightly different and varied, depending on the artistic inspiration of its weaver. Therefore each purse is unique! Before sending you your purses, we’ll send you photos of available designs- unless you’d prefer to be surprised. The thread colors are dyed by hand, using plant and mineral dyes, local materials that are grown in the weaving communities, whilst our blue threads are from recycled denim jean fibers, repurposed factory waste from Guatemala City.  Dimensions are 7.5 x 4.5in, the strap is 48in long. Inside small zip pocket with large outside zip (YKK zippers).
